4 Days Montaperti 2022

The Rotary Club Siena Montaperti is honoured to organize, in the magnificent context of the city of Siena and its rich territory, from June 2nd to June 5th 2022, the 4 Days Cycling to Serve – Montaperti event: the annual meeting of the members of the Rotary Cycling Association “Cycling to serve” with the support of Rotary International.

By taking part to the cycling program, participants will have the opportunity to cycle, with guided tours, trough the enchanting routes steeped in history that already hosts some of the most important cycling events, such as the Strade Bianche, to which the Rotary Club is proudly a Charity Partner, and the Eroica.

Together we will cross the uncontaminated nature of the Val di Merse (June 2nd), the vineyards of Chianti (June 3rd) and the rolling hills of the Crete Senesi (June 4th), to end up with a stretch of the iconic Strade Bianche (June 5th), through paths that wind through breathtaking landscapes, villages, cathedrals and medieval fortifications, making you fell like you’re living inside a painting. 

The event aims to raise funds for the service @ apprendoLAB + project, aimed at the early detection of Specific Learning Disorder (SLD) in primary and secondary school pupils . Find out more in the service section.

For each of the destinations there are routes with 3 levels of difficulty, which each participant can choose according to own needs. In the routes section you can find more information, the complete tracks of distances and altimetry and the links for gpx download.

All cyclists can count on a very high level of assistance, which includes all breakfasts, dinners and Pasta Parties, bus transfers, technical support both during the tours and as mechanical assistance in the hotel.

The accompanying persons will be able to take part in the tourist program, thanks to which, every day, they will have the opportunity to visit not only those places, alleys, squares, palaces and museums that have made the city of Siena famous all over the world, but also real and hidden pearls, less known but no less suggestive or rich in history.

All the participants in the event and their companions will be hosted at the Hotel Athena, just inside the Porta San Marco, in the beating heart of Siena, close to all the main monuments of the historic center, and with a magnificent panoramic view over the hills of the countryside of Siena.
